More About Our Mission
In loving memory of Anthony “Tony” Lee Iiams, our foundation stands as a beacon of his radiant spirit. In Tony’s honor, we aim to illuminate the lives of young dancers and those facing adversity, carrying forward his legacy of boundless positivity and his profound love for dance.
Tony, a luminary known for his infectious smile, was a joyful dancer who shared his talent and warmth. He exemplified the essence of our slogan, “Shine Like Tony”, touching lives through his performances and instruction. Despite his personal battles with arthritis and myositis, he never allowed adversity or pain to define his spirit. Those fortunate enough to know him – family, friends, fellow dancers, and students – unanimously agree that we should all aspire to “Shine Like Tony”.
Goals:
Two annual studio scholarships for individual dancers
One annual high school dance team camp sponsorship
One annual scholarship to a college-bound dancer
Yearly contribution to Children’s Mercy Hospital (Rheumatology Clinic)
Yearly contribution to the Arthritis Foundation
